The Snowdonia Way is a trek across the Snowdonia National Park from south to north covering 97 miles (156 Km) with an ascent of 17,745 feet (5,410m). Although mostly a valley route I include an ascent of Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales at 3,560 feet.

The start is at Machynlleth at the town clock which was constructed 1874 to celebrate the 21st birthday of Viscount Castlereagh. Following well defined roads and paths we cut through the valleys to eventually emerge at Dolgellau. Here we cut through some of the back small alleys and spot the magnificent Library built in 1911.
