On Friday the 23rd of January, the Aberystwyth to Chirk Kronospan log train was unable to return to Chirk due to flooding on the line.
The Class 97's on the train were required to work an engineering train to Barmouth on Saturday night, which resulted in an unusual light engine move from Aberystwyth to Coleham during the day on Saturday the 24th.
97303 'Dave Berry' & 97304 'Talyllyn Railway' returned as the 0C56 14:10 Aberystwyth Krono Colas to Coleham Shunt Neck light engine move.
I also saw 158835 working the 1J11 11:27 Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and then the 1I20 13:27 Aberystwyth to Birmingham International.
