Complete written Recipe with Ingredients & Method for Vegetable Upma
For Roasting Rava :-
Ingredients:
Ghee (घी) - 1 Tsp
Upma Rava (उपमा रवा) - 1 Cup
Method :-
1. Heat a pan on low flame and add 1 tsp ghee.
2. Add upma rava and roast it on low heat, stirring continuously.
3. Roast until the rava becomes aromatic and slightly crisp.(Do not let it change color.)
4. Transfer the roasted rava to a bowl and keep it aside.
For Roasting Cashews & Peanuts :-
Ingredients:
Ghee (घी) - 2 Tbsp
Cashews (काजू) - 10-12 (Half Cut)
Peanuts (मूँगफली) - 1 Tbsp
Method :-
1. In the same pan, add 2 tbsp ghee.
2. Add 10–12 half-cut cashews and 1 tbsp peanuts.
3. Roast on low flame for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
4. Remove and keep them aside to retain their crunch.
For Vegetable Upma :-
Ingredients:
Ghee (घी) - 1-2 Tbsp
Mustard (राई) - 1 Tsp
Chana Dal (चना दाल) - 1 Tsp
Urad Dal (उड़द दाल) - 1 Tsp
Ginger (अदरक) - 1 Tsp (Finely Chopped)
Green Chillies (हरी मिर्च) - 3-4 (Finely Chopped)
Curry Leaves (करी पत्ता) - 10-12
Onion (प्याज) - 1 Medium Size (Finely Chopped)
Green Peas (मटर) - 1/4 Cup
Sweet Corn (स्वीट कॉर्न) - 1/4 Cup
Green Capsicum (हरी शिमला मिर्च) - 1 Small Size (Diced)
Carrot (गाजर) - 1 Small Size (Diced)
Hot Water (गरम पानी) - 3 Cups (3 times of Rava)
Salt as Taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
Sugar (चीनी) - A Pinch
Black Pepper Powder (काली मिर्च पाउडर) - A Pinch
Roasted Rava (भुना हुआ रवा)
Roasted Cashews & Peanuts (भुने हुए काजू और मूंगफली)
Lemon Juice (नींबू का रस) - Half
Ghee (घी) - 1 Tbsp
Method :-
1. Add 1–2 tbsp ghee to the same pan.
2. Add mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal.
3. Roast until the dals turn light golden.
4. Add ginger, green chilies, and curry leaves and saute until fragrant.
5. Now Add the finely chopped onion and saute until translucent.
6. Once Onion are translucent, Add green peas, sweet corn, capsicum, and carrot.
7. Now Cook the Veggies on High flame for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Pour in 3 cups hot water (3 times of Rava). Along with salt to taste, a pinch of sugar, and a pinch of black pepper powder.
9. Mix well and bring the water to a rolling boil.
10. Once the water starts Boiling, Slowly add the roasted rava, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
12. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
11. Cover the pan and cook on low flame for 3–4 minutes.
12. Once the upma is cooked, turn off the flame & let it rest for 4-5 Minutes.
13. Aftet Resting Add roasted cashews and peanuts & juice of half a lemon and 1 tbsp ghee & Mix gently.
14. Your Delicious Vegetable Upma is Ready, Serve it with Green Coconut Chutney or Sambhar.
