There's some clues early on to the solution. Meta-gaming, the fact that the boots had 0 weight made them a quest item. The regular reference to the link between Zenithar and Kynareth. Even so, without the ""hint"" at your third failure I would not have considered trying to use them. I am glad that I had them and did not have to go postpone this quest to go get them.

Oblivion is the fourth entry in the Elder Scrolls series. It continues the first- or third-person perspective and the journey through Tamriel. As with the other games, using skills provides experience gains rather than kills or quest completion. This is specifically the older, non-remastered version.
