Day 3 - Increased Herd Harmony
Since I turned Antares and Amadeo in with Mystic and Kami, there has been tension in the herd. Kami managed the colts without issue, but Mystic had difficulty with the youngsters. Feeding them in the same paddock led to sniping as the colts bolted their supplements and then tried to steal them from Mystic and Kami. Antares and Amadeo frequently moved Mystic and Mystic had lost his position as herd leader.
Today was a different herd, horses eating at peace, Kami and Antares opting to skip the supplements in favor of human loving. The harmony continued when we turned them out with Rocky. Amadeo and Mystic had made their peace and Antares was inviting Mystic to move, but playfully, not aggressively and Mystic was relaxed, not stressed. Herd harmony is a beautiful thing.
