What Often Happens When You Sleep With An Ex?

Reason #1 – You're Familiar
If you have gotten into a pattern of having sex and no commitment, they can reach out to to just to have sex again and then avoid the relationship side of things because they know they can.

Reason #2 – You're Available
So, when someone breaks up with you essentially what they’re saying is that they can do better, than you, I can find someone else who can meet my needs better. But what happens over time of them looking, they realise it’s a little more difficult than they think.

What then happens is they look for someone who is available to them (you) and this is the easier option.

Reason #3 – They Want Closure
Sometimes what you find happens is that you wont have break up sex, you will have it a few days to a month later. It can be for closure or it can be a way to get you to be available to them again. And they sleep with you and get the closure they wanted.

Reason #4 – They Miss The Sex
When we have a break up we think about the best parts, and at times that can be the best sex. When they are trying to move on, they can think about their experience with you. And overlook the bad aspects of the relationships.

Reason #5 – Idealization
They have a tendency to put the relationship on a pedestal, this is the same idea as the “Peak/End” rule, where we think of the most satisfying parts of the experience and the end. And what happens they won’t think about the end is the most negative part of the relationship, and just focus on the peak.

What Often Happens When You Sleep With An Ex?
It is not a great idea when you sleep with an ex, when you want them back.

Looking at polls of from surveys’ shows that 44% of people have admitted to having sex with their ex after a break up.
