This is one of the most popular questions I am asked when I’m speaking with a client or on the Private Facebook Page, so that they have some sort of enforcement to know they’re doing it right and knowing it’s going to work.

The reason the No Contact Rule works...

The Theory Of Reactance

Human beings have certain behavioral freedoms, when that freedom is taken away from us, we fight to get that freedom back. So, when you take away their freedom to speak to you, they will fight to get that freedom to talk to you back.

It is also important that when you’re doing the No Contact you take the time to cultivate your life and improve areas that you are not happy with so that when you are back in touch with your ex you are more confident and happier.

The Five Signs

Sign #1 –They Try To Get A Hold Of You
This places into the idea of where you are ignoring you and they are trying to get a hold of you and trying to get that freedom to speak to you again back. This doesn’t always happen its more of a 50/50 where some exes will reach out to friends and family to try to talk to you, and then there are others who are stubborn and wait of you to reach out to them first.

Sign #2 – You Are Spending More Time On Yourself And Loving It
I always try to explain that this works at its best if you are cultivating your life and improving your life it is a great sign that the No Contact rule is working and means it will have more of an impact. This is the most difficult aspect for clients to grasp they expect that they do nothing and that the ex reaches out for them to ignore them. No. Spend time on yourself and feel like you love yourself and enjoying spending that time.

Sign #3 – They Start Paying Attention To Your Social Media More
Using the basic social media such as Facebook, where they like and comment on photos and status updates, or you hear from your friend that they had asked how you were doing and asking what’s going on with you. This is also an interesting point where you need to be priming, where you only post certain things to your social media, as you are not allowed to speak to your ex using social media, posting what you want your ex to know about your life now to create an image of you appearing unattainable.

Sign #4 – Other People Start Finding You Attractive
This goes in tandem with sign number 3 where you are creating an image that every other man or woman wants. Other people start commenting about how amazing you are and that they want to get to know you more, your ex will also see this get jealous and realise that you are not going to wait around forever.

Sign #5 – Your Ex Is More Responsive After No Contact
So, when the No Contact is complete I recommend to my clients reach out to their exes with a certain types of messages where they get their ex to talk to them, but after a No Contact your ex will be more open to talking to you and having a conversation with you
