A noisy crowd of northern elephant seals has returned to a heavily used stretch of Drakes Beach for pupping and mating for just the third time since they resumed breeding in the area 40 years ago.
This winter's series of violent storms have pushed the mama seals onto the popular beach away from their normally secluded cliff ledges where they spend pupping season.
