2-24-24 This will be our last day visiting the family. It has been a wonderful experience watching this family over the last month and sharing it with you all. There was a brand new pup, and the other pups in this family still had all of the mothers present. It is easy to fall in love with them as you watch them and see how the family unit works. This experience is very different from a beach with a lot of seals.
This opportunity presented a wonderful and intimate look at an elephant seal family unit, away from the chaos of many family units grouped together.
It was nice to see they all did well, the newest one if course still needs a dew weeks, bit overall the pups in the family have done well, and sion the moms will leave them, and they will continue to learn about their world, so they can survive.
