This Yang to Yin yoga practice for the Winter Solstice invites you to slow down, turn inward, and align with the natural rhythms of the season. The winter solstice is a powerful moment of transition, reflection, and renewal — a gentle reminder to honor both light and dark, effort and rest.
In this practice, we begin with yang-style movement to warm the body, build gentle strength, and awaken your energy. As the practice unfolds, we gradually move into yin yoga, offering longer-held, floor-based poses that support deep release, nervous system regulation, and inner stillness.
Yoga is always a dance between yin and yang energies — internal and external focus, softness and strength. This class is designed to help you find balance, grounding, and spaciousness during the winter season.
