Amid complaints of cooking gas shortages, a gas agency manager has said that LPG supply loads have reduced significantly compared to earlier levels. According to the manager, only one or two loads of LPG cylinders are arriving every two to three days, which is affecting the availability of gas for consumers.

The manager also claimed that many customers are facing problems while booking cylinders. People are reportedly not receiving OTPs required for booking, and in several cases payment transactions are also not going through, making it difficult for consumers to place refill orders. Systems such as OTP-based authentication are part of the LPG delivery process in India to confirm bookings and deliveries.

Due to reduced supply and technical issues in the booking system, agencies say they are distributing whatever stock is currently available to customers, while many consumers continue to wait for their LPG refills.
