We Took Our Dog to Magnetic Island… Then THIS Happened! 🐶🇦🇺

Описание: What a wild start to the day! We woke up in Peacock Siding and were instantly surrounded by nature — literally. Last night when we arrived, we were greeted by a monster carpet python, a bunch of stunning tree frogs, and so many nighttime rainforest sounds.

We kicked off the morning with brekkie in Sunny the camper, then had a wander around the land where we were staying — banana trees, lemon trees, and even a fruit we couldn't name growing right on the property! The Airbnb was a little hidden gem, with thoughtful touches like handwritten notes and hot choccies left by the host (who also had two beautiful horses we got to feed — Bell Approaches and Papa 💛).

After hitting the road, we made our way to Jourama Falls, hoping to do the walk to the waterfall. The full trail was closed off, but Joe still managed to explore part of the track and found a gorgeous little waterhole where we took turns cooling off with a swim in the midday heat (while one of us hung out with Picco in the van).

From there, we brewed up some lemon, honey & hot water using the lemons we’d picked that morning, and set off toward Magnetic Island. But before that — we finally stopped at Frosty Mango after being told a hundred times to go there. Safe to say, the mango soft serve was unreal!

We caught the ferry with Picco in his doggy backpack and explored Magnetic Island by foot and scooter. We stopped for lunch at SOS, where Joe tried Kilpatrick oysters for the first time and had Morton Bay Bug sliders (which were a hit). Horseshoe Bay was absolutely stunning, and even though we didn’t get the iconic topless car, the scooter gave us the freedom to see so much of the island.

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get better… we stumbled across a hidden trail that was dog friendly — and it was FULL of rock wallabies. They were everywhere, super curious and totally chilled, letting us get up close. It honestly felt surreal and was the perfect way to end the day.

This was one of our favourite vlogs of the trip so far — wild animals, beaches, forest swims, and an island adventure… what more could you want?
