We FINALLY Saw a Cassowary in the Wild... and a Crocodile Too! 🐊🦜

Описание: In today’s episode of our East Coast Australia road trip, we’re deep in the Daintree Rainforest and the day kicks off with a relaxing brekkie and swim at one of our favourite stays so far. 🌿

First stop was the Mossman Saturday Markets, where we tried exotic rainforest fruits and some incredible cassava cake from a lovely Malaysian stallholder – her mother’s recipe! We also spoke with a man crafting guitars from up-cycled materials 🎸🍰

Then things got WILD… We spotted people peering off a bridge and discovered a 3-metre saltwater crocodile basking in the sun below! 😱 Joe couldn’t believe his eyes — our first ever wild croc sighting in Australia! 🐊

From there, we drove the Great Barrier Reef Drive and stopped off at The Lakes Park for an epic van-cooked lunch using goodies from the market. Think Italian flatbread with chilli oil, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes & olives 🍞🧀🔥

But the big mission of the day was still ahead… we were heading to Etty Bay with one goal: see a Cassowary in the wild. And we actually did it! Not just one, but two cassowaries — and one even walked across the road right in front of our van! 😮🦜
