Hatterene is a great Trick Room setter. It was the most common Trick Room setter in the early meta, usually paired with Indeedee-F for follow me and Psychic Terrain. Even though it's fallen quite a bit in usage it's still a lead you may see on the ladder and even at events. The reason this is such a powerful lead is because Indeedee-F aids Hatterene in setting up Trick Room by using Follow Me. It also sets Psychic Terrain which is great for stopping priority moves, as well as boosting Psychic-Type damage by 50%. This makes Hatterene do an absurd amount of damage the turn after Trick Room. Hatterene has pretty solid stats across the board with only a low HP stat, and obviously speed. We max invest into HP and can dynamax making this Pokemon fairly bulky. A lot of good partners for this Pokemon are pretty self-explanatory like Rhyperior, Torkoal, Conkeldurr, Snorlax, Mudsdale, and Gastrodon. Essentially just using other Pokemon that are good under Trick Room. The biggest weakness of this team is Duraludon, since it is super effective and ignores Follow Me. Also multi-tareting attacks can be pesky since Follow Me is such a valuable asset. Overall this Pokemon is seeing less play but still a very viable Trick Room setter and Sweeper.
