Hiking to Lower Bugaboo Falls! This is a quick little trail that features a bit of a cliff side walk and a huge waterfall, and it only requires a quick trip up a forest service road! There are branching paths about halfway through. One follows the top of the canyon and gives a preview of the falls, and the other winds through the forest on a few nice boardwalks. I opted for the cliff route this time.
When I got back to the trailhead, I was a shriveled husk of a person due to all of my blood being stolen by 1 billion mosquitos. I was tempted to shimmy out on the ledge at the top of the falls, but I was constantly brushing loads of mosquitos off of me. Bug spray had no effect on these ones! So if you attempt this, wear some thicker clothing!
