For the first time, a woman has been appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. It's also the first time a foreigner has been given the role.
Dr Anna Breman is from Sweden, where she's been 2IC of their central bank since 2019.
As Governor, Breman will chair the committee that sets the benchmark for interest rates in New Zealand, and she'll be paid a salary of $800,000. Political Correspondent Zane Small reports.
