Those of you with a Hornady LnL progressive press know that you can grease specific points of the unit by using a grease gun with a Zerk tip. Always a fun process.
But for the ram on my press, I've found that regardless of the type of grease I use, the first loading session after a greasing is fine, but subsequent sessions seem to feel not as smooth or rather more binding or tight on the ram.
I've tried other solutions as well like dry lube, CLP, and others. Did some reading and YTing and discovered a lot of folks like to use plain old motor oil. So, I had it in the back of my mind to do just that.
Was at my fav low cost tool shop (Harbor Freight) and saw this little red (perfect color for the bench ;-) oil can that for a couple of bucks couldn't pass up. So this video is my experience with the little red oil can.
