Decided to break this into 2 parts. This part is how I handled the leaking oil can that I had sitting on my bench. Was getting tired of putting a new paper towel under the can every few days to deal with the pressure leaks, albeit very small, still there. Didn't want the oil on my bench.
So I repurposed some oak that I had intended for other projects that never got off the ground and quickly put a little stand together to hold the oil can. Didn't want it on the bench so I mounted a big/strong magnet to the back of the stand and can now attach that to the side of my bench. Coated the stand in my fav industrial finish of truck bed coating and it closely matches the bench's finish. Now the leaks will be contained to a small, out of the way area and the oil can is still within reach of the press to oil the ram when needed. Problem solved!
