Feeding Trachycarpus, Butia, Jubaea & other Palms in my UK Tropical Garden

Описание: Today's video is all about what I fertiliser and feeds I use to keep my Trachycarpus fortunei, Butia odorata, Jubaea chilensis and other palms green & healthy both in pots / containers and planted out in my UK tropical style jungle garden. I look at questions like do you need to feed palm 'trees' in the UK, when do you ideally need to feed palms, how to feed palms in the UK and whether budget high nitrogen feeds are a good option vs more expensive palm specific feeds. I look at the easiest way of feeding using slow release palm fertiliser, my budget way of feeding palms and tropical style borders with chicken manure pellets & liquid seaweed then also how you can combine Palm Focus plant food and Palm Booster rooting hormone to help grow tough, hardy palms that grow faster during the summer months and will be more resilient to winter weather. The advice should be equally applicable to Phoenix canariensis, Trachycarpus wagnerianus, Chamaerops humilis, Brahea armata and other cold hardy palms grown in cooler climates.

This isn't a scientific fertiliser comparison as such, more an overview of what I used with great results, why, when and how.
