Homicide #50/2015 Update, Joel Alexander, 28 | @TorontoPolice D/Sgt. Terry Browne
On Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., in the Media Gallery at Toronto Police Headquarters, Homicide Detective Sergeant Terry Browne will update the media on the investigation into Homicide #50/2015.
From previous news release:
On Friday, December 11, 2015, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to a report of gunshots in the King Street West and Peter Street area.
It is reported that:
police arrived and found the victim in a parked vehicle with what appeared to be a gunshot wound
the victim was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries
witnesses at the scene report seeing a vehicle fleeing from the area
The victim has been identified as Joel Alexander, 28, of Toronto.
Homicide is appealing for any information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the suspect vehicle fleeing the area.
The suspect vehicle is a silver, compact, four-door vehicle with tinted windows. It was last seen southbound on Peter Street, turning west on King Street West.
