In September 2019 Colin and I went to my homeland, Portugal, during our honeymoon and stayed for a week in the amazing Casa Morgado's, in Grândola, Alentejo. We felt welcomed like kings!!!!!. Nothing was too much for Paula Chainho, the owner and her "right hands" D. Antónia and Rita.
in our room we had rose petals on the bed, two swans made with the towels, homemade biscuits and everything looked so lovely, so romantic.... not to forget the lavish breakfasts and the romantic jacuzzi.
Our goal was for a week on the beach but also some sightseeing as Colin did not know Alentejo at all. The beaches are truly amazing and you can pick different ones every day, from cozy coves to long beaches, all with golden, fine sand. The weather was beautiful and the temperature of the water was all right.
We also visited beautiful towns like Beja, Vila Nova de Milfontes, Alcácer do Sal, Évora and others and delighted ourselves each evening by dining always in different restaurants.
We had an amazing time and will gladly go back when we travel to Portugal again... now that Lockdown is ending. Casa Morgado's is surely the place to visit. By the way, great pool too! https://casamorgados.pt/
