Né le 8 juin 2009, dans un concours Photoshop, Slender Man échappe bientôt à son concepteur pour devenir progressivement la création collaborative de ses fans. Greffé de nos peurs collectives, il représente aujourd'hui bien plus qu'un homme long vêtu de noir.
