The first Friday of 2026 called for our very first hike of the year—and what a perfect way to begin! We chose to explore Saal Village, a trail suitable for both regular hikers and beginners alike.



Just 30 minutes from Muscat, Saal Village welcomed us with beautiful trails, vibrant landscapes, and a refreshing temperature of 14°C when we arrived at 6:00 AM. This time, we had an incredible turnout of 40 Adventure Buddies 🎉, and the energy and enthusiasm were truly infectious.



We kicked off the hike with a moderate uphill climb that got our hearts pumping, soon rewarding us with stunning panoramic views. Cameras came out instantly, and many of us paused to soak in the magical scenery.



The trail then leveled out for nearly a kilometer, offering a pleasant stretch before descending into a wadi. Our target point near the village farms greeted us with unique rock formations, creating countless photo opportunities.



During our break, we welcomed 2026 in style by cutting a cake brought by Samir Kale followed by Nitin Sood’s signature Karak Chai. Enjoying cake and hot chai on the trail was truly delightful—these thoughtful touches are what make every hike extra special.



After spending about 35 minutes at the spot, we began our return journey, choosing a shaded route through the wadi. A gentle breeze kept the morning comfortable, and frequent photo stops were inevitable—the charm of the wadi was simply irresistible.



⏱️ After 2 hours and 30 minutes of laughter, bonding, and scenic beauty, we reached the starting point. But the celebrations didn’t end there— Manohar Chandan surprised us with another huge special cake*, beautifully topped with an Adventure Buddies picture.



With every hike, we grow stronger, closer, and more connected—Adventure Buddies are ready to conquer 2026 !🤝🌄
