In this video, I break down one of the most misunderstood concepts in lifting, what it actually means to train to failure.
A lot of people think failure means being exhausted, out of breath, or feeling like their strength just disappears. But that’s not what muscular failure really is. I explain the difference between discomfort and true failure, and why most people either stop too early.
I walk through simple, concrete examples using chest and back movements so you can clearly understand what failure looks like in real time. I also explain why you don’t need to hit absolute failure on every set to grow, and how training close to failure is often more productive for long-term progress.
If you’ve ever been confused about whether you’re actually training hard enough, or you’re unsure what failure really means in practical terms, this video will clear it up in a simple and grounded way.
