Barquillos Recipe | How to make Barquillos
is a crunchy roll biscuit or wafer that is a popular snack and pasalubong of filipinos. Another favorite is the baquiron it is a barquillos that has polvoron filling inside that is more delicious.

Barquillos Recipe
½ cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
¼ cup butter, softened
1 egg white
1 tsp vanilla
5 tsp milo
Procedure
1. In a bowl mix together butter and sugar until creamy and smooth.
2. Add egg white and mix well. Add vanilla and mix again.
3. Add flour and mix. Divide mixture into portions to make different flavors of barquillos.
4. Add milo powder and mix until well combined. The other mixture will be vanilla flavor.
5. Put mixture in a parchment paper and spread into 4-5 inches circles.
6. Place parchment paper in a pan. Cover pan and cook for 6-8 minutes in low heat or until the top part is already dry.
7. Once it’s cooked quickly remove parchment paper in the pan. Quickly roll the barquillos into a skewer or chopstick while it’s still soft and hot because barquillos hardens quickly just be careful because it’s still hot.
8. Just remove the chopstick once it cools.
Yields: 18 pieces
