How to Make Barquillos
✅Ingredients
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large eggs
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ tablespoons melted butter, cooled
✅Instructions
Lightly grease the baking sheet with melted butter. Set aside.
In a bowl, combine unsalted butter and sugar. Beat until creamy. Add egg whites. Beat until incorporated. Sift all-purpose flour. Using a rubber spatula, stir the batter until it is smooth. Add melted butter and stir.
Drop 6 individual spoonfuls of batter on the baking sheet. With the back of a teaspoon, spread to about 3-inch diameter circles
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until the edges are lightly golden. Immediately remove the wafer with a metal spatula while it is still hot, and wrap it around a wooden chopstick.
Place on a wire rack and allow to cool. Once cool, remove the chopsticks. Repeat with the remaining batter.
