The Jermuk Community Center was established in 2003 by the Community Development NGO. Over the years, the Center has expanded its activities beyond social services to include handicraft, vocational, and creative programs for women, girls, and young people. The Center contributes to community socio-economic development by promoting women’s empowerment, self-employment opportunities, youth environmental education, and the integration of forcibly displaced people.
At Community Development NGO, we have over 30 years of experience in the socio-economic, educational, and cultural spheres. We are a driving force for positive change in Armenian communities. We focus on grassroots engagement, and capacity building and assist rural people to find employment and self-employment as sustainable income opportunities.
We have a number of top priorities including:
Fighting poverty,
Limiting the impact of climate change,
Youth and women empowerment,
Providing humanitarian aid during emergency situations.
