Baking sourdough doesn’t have to be intimidating! It’s forgiving, nourishing, and great for gut health. Today, I’m sharing a beginner-friendly recipe and process that shows how mistakes are part of the journey—and how you don’t need perfection to see results.
Recipe:
• 100g starter
• 350g water
• 500g flour (all-purpose, bread flour, whole wheat, or a mix)
• 10–12g salt
1️⃣ Mix starter + water → add flour → mix
2️⃣ Add salt during first round of stretch and folds (3–5 rounds)
3️⃣ Rest, pre-shape, and place in banneton basket
4️⃣ Bake once bubbles appear and dough slowly springs back when pressed
