Meal prep isn’t just about convenience — it’s about fueling your body with intention.
In this video, I walk through how I prepare balanced meals using whole foods, high-quality proteins, healthy fats, and a variety of vegetables so that when hunger hits, nourishing food is already ready to go.
Each meal focuses on a balance of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and micronutrient-rich vegetables to support energy, metabolism, and overall health.
Some of the principles I talk about in this video include:
Choosing quality protein sources
• Grass-fed beef – often higher in omega-3 fatty acids and beneficial nutrients compared to conventional beef.
• Wild-caught fish – typically contains a healthier fatty acid profile and fewer additives than farm-raised options.
Including a wide variety of vegetables
Different colored vegetables provide different nutrients. By rotating a diverse mix of vegetables, you give your body access to a broader range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber that support gut health and reduce inflammation.
Using healthy fats in the right balance
Healthy fats are essential for hormone health, brain function, and nutrient absorption. In this video I talk about why I typically stick to around 2 tablespoons of olive oil rather than over-consuming fats, even healthy ones. Balance matters.
Nutrition isn’t about extremes — it’s about providing the body with what it needs in the right amounts.
Whole grains for sustainable energy
Complex carbohydrates help maintain stable blood sugar and provide steady fuel throughout the day, especially if you’re active or exercising regularly.
Meal prepping like this helps prevent the common cycle of reaching for highly processed foods when you’re tired, rushed, or starving.
Instead, you have nutrient-dense meals ready to nourish your body well.
I also believe that caring for our health is part of honoring and nourishing the temple God has given us. Food is not just fuel — it’s one of the ways we steward our bodies with wisdom.
