With newfound information about Lavos, Crono heads to the past, 400 years ago in 600 A.D. where a fiendlord called Magus may have created Lavos. Upon traveling through a time portal, it was discovered a war is going on at the Zenon Bridge which was repaired. Talk to the Knight Captain in gold armor at the bridge to trigger the event so you can fetch rations from castle Guardia. Talk to the cook downstairs to the right and he'll give some excuse, leave and he'll stop you handing over some Jerky. Return to the bridge where events have progressed and some casualties occured. Fight Ozzie and his necomanced minions. Either defeat the minions or wail on Ozzie to break his spell. Then fight a boss called Zombor.

On the southern continent there's the town of Dorino, and Porre to investigate. Trade the Naga-ette Bromide to the old man by first investigating the locked Drawer in a residence. It's a Magic Tab! Toma is at the Mayor's Manor and then leave to peruse the bars of both towns where you can get some more info out of him. In the Cursed Woods, Porre, you'll meet an old friend by checking the back of a bush shrub. Frog!! We missed you! You've been living in a hole in the ground. Well, a home's a home!

Chrono Trigger (クロノ・トリガー Kurono Torigā?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. It is the first game in the Chrono series. The game's story follows a group of adventurers who travel through time to prevent a global catastrophe. Square re-released a ported version by TOSE in Japan for the Sony PlayStation in 1999, later repackaged with a Final Fantasy IV port as part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles in 2001. A slightly enhanced Chrono Trigger was released for the Nintendo DS on November 25, 2008, in North America and Japan.

The development team of Chrono Trigger was headed by three designers that Square dubbed the "Dream Team", consisting of Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the Final Fantasy series; Yūji Horii and Akira Toriyama, two freelance designers known for their work on Enix's Dragon Quest series; Nobuo Uematsu, a composer for the Final Fantasy series; and Kazuhiko Aoki, who produced the game. Masato Kato wrote most of the plot, while composer Yasunori Mitsuda scored most of the game before falling ill and deferring remaining tracks to Nobuo Uematsu.

Chrono Trigger received an endless amount of praise by reviewers and was commercially successful. Nintendo Power described certain aspects of Chrono Trigger as revolutionary, including its multiple endings, plot-related sidequests focusing on character development, unique battle system, and detailed graphics.
