Magus's Castle
Head to 1000 A.D. in Medina Village to Melchior's Hut just west of town. Melchior will begin restoring the Masamune (Grandleon) at your behest with either Lucca (Priority 1) or Robo (Priority 2) assisting. Lucca overrides Robo if both are in the party. With the Masamune reforged, head back to the closet in Medina, warp to the End of Time, and head to 600 A.D. heading south to the Cursed Woods to give Frog a surprise gift (present). Frog will reminisce on old memories revealing his original human form, as Glenn.
Frog will join up and now is the perfect time to take a newcomer back to Spekkio at the End of Time to learn Water magic. Return to 600 A.D. and chat with some patrons in Porre to find out about the Magic Cave. Head north and east of Porre. At the Magic Cave, Glenn (Frog) will take up arms with the Masamune after one more somber moment of nostalgia. Travel through the cave to Magus's castle. NOTE: Check the furtherest back rooms on both left and right paths to progress the events.
Fight Slash (left path) and Flea (right path).

Chrono Trigger (クロノ・トリガー Kurono Torigā?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. It is the first game in the Chrono series. The game's story follows a group of adventurers who travel through time to prevent a global catastrophe. Square re-released a ported version by TOSE in Japan for the Sony PlayStation in 1999, later repackaged with a Final Fantasy IV port as part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles in 2001. A slightly enhanced Chrono Trigger was released for the Nintendo DS on November 25, 2008, in North America and Japan.
The development team of Chrono Trigger was headed by three designers that Square dubbed the "Dream Team", consisting of Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the Final Fantasy series; Yūji Horii and Akira Toriyama, two freelance designers known for their work on Enix's Dragon Quest series; Nobuo Uematsu, a composer for the Final Fantasy series; and Kazuhiko Aoki, who produced the game. Masato Kato wrote most of the plot, while composer Yasunori Mitsuda scored most of the game before falling ill and deferring remaining tracks to Nobuo Uematsu.
Chrono Trigger received an endless amount of praise by reviewers and was commercially successful. Nintendo Power described certain aspects of Chrono Trigger as revolutionary, including its multiple endings, plot-related sidequests focusing on character development, unique battle system, and detailed graphics.
The World of Chrono Trigger (Instruction Manual)
Living in the seemingly peaceful kingdom of Guardia in 1000 A.D., the child Crono was chosen by guardian spirits to save the world from ultimate devastation. Though Doomsday will not happen until the year 1999, the ancient seeds of destruction were planted long ago by the evil LAVOS. Your mission in the world of CHRONO TRIGGER is to travel back and forth through time to change the course of history, and stop Lavos from succeeding in his dark plan.
