Back in her wooden cabin, she bakes flatbread over the crackling wood stove. With snow falling heavily outside, she enjoys a simple evening meal of bread, cheese, and wine—warming herself against the unforgiving winter. But her thoughts drift to the merchant who saved her life in the previous episode. With her loyal dog beside her, she heads through the snow to his home and brings him a gift: freshly baked bread.

The kind merchant walks her back safely through the blizzard. Yet the night turns dangerous when a bear attacks her home. She fights it off with her rifle, and the merchant rushes in after hearing the gunshot. Together they drive the beast away into the dark woods.

Knowing the danger is not over, the merchant decides to stand guard for the night… and as the snowstorm deepens, wolves begin to circle the cabin—bringing the episode to a tense end.
