Another good ride in Banff for all abilities. It is a 16km loop with a very manageable elevation profile that takes you via Bankhead, an old coal settlement, Lake Minnewanka marina and bridge, and Two Jack Lake. You get a lot of spectacular views for a small amount of effort. Well worth it.
EBikes can be hired in Banff. I am not affiliated with any of the vendors nor do I have any direct experience with them to make any recommendations. I'd check the Google reviews and go from there.
The only downside of the ride is that you are sharing the road with motorised vehicle traffic and there is no shoulder to the road. You need to be vigilant. Mirrors make a big difference. This is bear country, so travel with your bear spray. I have seen black bears on the side of the road before.
If you feel up to it, you can combine this ride with the Legacy Trail ride and then go for lunch in Banff afterwards. That way, you make a day of it.
The video jumps around a bit. I'm sorry about that. I initially rode from the Banff Railway Station but upon reflection, it wasn't the best choice and I haven't had the opportunity to re-make the video, so I tagged on a small piece to explain the story. It's the nature of the beast, I'm afraid. Sometimes you have to go with the footage you have.
The trail is best tackled from the Cascade Ponds parking lot and done in a clockwise direction. Please note that you need a day pass, at least, to park in Banff National Park. This must be bought as you enter Banff National Park or alternatively can be bought online.
Some notes on this ride:
Do the ride clockwise because the views are best.
The ride is approximately 16km and is for all abilities.
You do not need a fully charged battery although it is always recommended.
There are plenty of facilities along the way.
The ride is paved.

Day or annual passes can be bought online https://www.banfflakelouise.com/park-...
It is recommended you leave early in the morning because the area can be very busy in the summer.
