Good morning and welcome! Prep for the week with this hearty steel cut oat breakfast. Great for the busy bee!

Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 cup steel cut oats
1 tbl brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp kosher salt
Instructions:
Bring water, salt, sugar, and cinnamon to a boil
Add oats stirring constantly, return to boil
Reduce to simmer and cook uncovered for 30 minutes stirring frequently
Let sit for 2 minutes
Makes 4-5 portions
Additions/Variances:
Mix in nuts, fruits/berries, maple syrup, raisins
Adjust to taste, reduce salt and or sugar for dietary constraints
Favorites:
Blueberries, pecans, maple syrup
Craisins, walnuts
Cinnamon/sugar (1to3) golden raisins
Black raspberries, pumpkin seeds
