Our second day in Madinah started with Fajr prayer at Masjid An-Nabawi. Most shops open right after Fajr, so the streets were alive even at that early time. After praying, we returned to the hotel for a quick rest.
I also showed how long it takes to walk from Waqf Othman bin Affan Hotel to the Masjid.
5 minutes 13 seconds to reach the women’s entrance
After that, we walked from Gate 333 towards the square, where there's a big clock tower and hundreds of pigeons. It's a beautiful place for families and kids.
Next, we visited Global Food Village.
We tried the pink viral ice cream, and yes, the lady really throws flowers on you! The place was packed. We also tried ice cream from Ajwatech. From here, you can also rent Careem bikes and scooters.
🕌 Madinah Ziyarat Tour – After Asr
1️⃣ Masjid Sayyid Al-Shuhada & Uhud Martyrs Cemetery
This is the area of Mount Uhud, where the historic Battle of Uhud took place.
Here lies the Shuhada Uhud Cemetery, the resting place of Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib (RA) — the beloved uncle of Prophet ﷺ — along with 70 other martyrs.
Masjid Sayyid Al-Shuhada stands near the battlefield. It was rebuilt several times over the centuries and now serves as a reminder of the sacrifice made here.
Right behind the area is Jabal al-Rumah (Archers’ Hill) — the hill where the Prophet ﷺ stationed 50 archers under the command of Abdullah ibn Jubair (RA). T
2️⃣ Masjid Qiblatain – The Masjid of Two Qiblas
This masjid is famous because the Qiblah changed here from Masjid Al-Aqsa (Jerusalem) to the Kaaba in Makkah.
It is located in the north-west part of Madinah.
3️⃣ The House of Syeda Fatima bint al-Husayn (RA)
This house is linked to the blessed family of the Prophet ﷺ.
Syeda Fatima bint al-Husayn (RA) was the granddaughter of Imam Ali (RA) and the great-granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
4️⃣ Masjid Al-Jumuah
This is the masjid where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ led the first Jumuah prayer after migrating (Hijrah) from Makkah to Madinah.
It’s a small but very historical masjid, located close to the Quba area. The architecture and calmness make it a beautiful place to visit.
5️⃣ Masjid Quba – Our Second Visit (Maghrib)
Masjid Quba is the first mosque built in Islam.
Praying two rakaats here holds the reward of one full Umrah, as mentioned in hadith.
This time, we prayed Maghrib here. The atmosphere after sunset was peaceful, and the entire area around Quba is full of shops, cafés, and beautiful walkways.
6️⃣ Bi’r Ghars (Ghars Well)
This well is special because the Prophet ﷺ loved its water and recommended drinking from it.
It is also narrated that water from this very well was used for the ghusl (washing) of the Prophet ﷺ after he passed away.
Visitors are given plastic cups to drink the water directly.
7️⃣ Salman Al-Farsi Farm
The farm belongs to Salman Al-Farsi (RA) — one of the greatest companions, known for discovering a clue about the coming of Prophet ﷺ and for advising about the trench strategy during the Battle of Khandaq.
Unfortunately, it was closed when we arrived — they usually open only in the morning.
🌙 Evening & Last Night in Madinah
After returning, we read Isha in Masjid An-Nabawi and then went to the dates wholesale market. Since we needed a lot of dates to take to Pakistan, we bought around 60 kg — so many varieties to choose from.
For dinner, we ate at Shaheen Taiba Pakistani Restaurant — everyone was starving by this time.
After reaching the hotel and eating, we went out again because it was our last night in Madinah. We needed to buy clothes and luggage, so we visited a big and affordable shopping center on Quba Walkway called Mujama Doddia – Gate 3.
That was the end of our Day 2 vlog — full of blessings, history, food, and special moments.
