Our Umrah 2025 vlog continues with our final day in Madinah — a peaceful morning near Masjid an-Nabawi, followed by our Haramain Train journey to Makkah 🚄. Seeing the Kaaba for the first time was an emotional, unforgettable moment for our whole family
I visited Masjid Ali bin Abi Talib, Masjid Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, Mosque of Al-Ghamama, and Masjid Omar bin Khattab.
These masjids are part of the blessed history of Madinah — places where the Sahaba prayed, lived, and spent time. Masjid Ghamama is the place where the Prophet ﷺ prayed Eid Salah, and Masjid Abu Bakr and Masjid Omar remind us of their close connection to the Prophet ﷺ.
After praying in all masjids, I went to Masjid an-Nabawi again. It was quiet and peaceful. I wanted to visit Jannat al-Baqi, but it was already closed. It opens after Fajr, maybe next time Insha'Allah.
From Gate 34, you can go to the rooftop, but it was closed when I went.
From Gate 341, you can walk 2 minutes to Masjid Imam Bukhari, which is built where Imam Bukhari’s house used to be.
From Gate 339, near Emaar Royal Hotel, you’ll find the famous Everything 1 Riyal shops.
After praying Zuhr, we checked out and took a taxi to Madinah Station for our Haramain Train. The stations are huge and modern, and the train is amazing — smooth, clean, and goes around 300 km/h. It was perfectly on time and took us straight to Makkah.
As we reached Makkah, we could see the Clock Tower from the window. We stayed at Makkah Towers, Tower 3, and got a free upgrade from 2 beds to 4 beds with a Masjid view. When you open the window, you can hear the adhan — beautiful experience.
Makkah is much busier than Madinah, full of life. From our hotel, we entered the Haram from Gate 87. After Isha, we all planned to do Umrah. We entered from Gate 79, and seeing the Kaaba for the first time was emotional.
Alhamdulillah, our Umrah went very well. It was our first experience, and the kids also completed it with us. We were 16 people total, so we split up, but everyone finished Umrah. Some of us shaved the head at Saloon Sadaqat, in front of Gate Abdul Aziz, Al Safwah Tower, 2nd floor.
After coming back to the hotel, everyone was hungry, so we went out again. In Makkah, everything is open all the time, so you can eat whenever you want.
What a beautiful experience. May Allah take you to Umrah soon, Ameen.
