The Most Attractive Body Type For Males

What is the most attractive body type for a man? Is there such a thing as an "ideal male physique"?

It's no secret that when many guys get into bodybuilding and fitness, becoming more attractive to women is often one of the primary motivations. Many guys think that if they just sculpt the ideal body type then all the women will come flocking.

However, in my view, trying to mold the "perfect male body" is not something you need to be obsessing over.

There are a few reasons for this...

First off, women have varying preferences in terms of what they consider to be the most attractive body shape for a man. As long as you workout consistently and are in decent shape, you'll always have a "target market" so long as you're a social person who is regularly out meeting new people.

Secondly, most women don't care as much about your physique as you might have been led to believe. Do women like muscles? Yes, there is a certain segment who really do love when a guy has a lean, muscular body, but on average across the population it isn't as important as you think. There are many factors that make up a man's attractiveness (face, height, socio-economic status, confidence etc.) and physique is just one small piece of the overall equation. Build muscle and lose fat, yes, but most women don't care as much as you think.

Thirdly, if you're sitting around obsessing about trying to have the "most attractive male body type" and are revolving your workouts solely around becoming appealing to women, you're in the wrong frame of mind to begin with. That "approval seeking" mode is going to come through in your interactions, and neediness is definitely something women do not find attractive. Maximize your appearance, but don't get overly caught up in it.

Lastly, if you're living the "lonesome bodybuilder" lifestyle and spending all your time in the gym obsessing over creating the perfect male body, you're not going to be putting yourself in the situations necessary to meet women, and even if you do, your social skills and confidence will have likely degraded from spending so much time alone in your head. Taking that approach will work against you when it comes to success with women and dating.

At the end of the day, what TRULY matters when it comes to building an attractive body is that you're simply within a healthy body fat range. That genuinely will impact your attractiveness, so make sure you're no higher than about 18-20% body fat as a maximum. Or, if you're excessively on the skinny side then adding some muscle will help as well.

However, beyond that, you don't need the "perfect male physique" in order to be successful with women. Just be in good shape so that it's obvious you work out, but you don't need to obsess over it. The exact body type you strive for should ultimately be based on your own preference in terms of where you feel best physically and mentally.
