50 minute Gentle Chair Yoga sequence for Seniors and those looking for an accessible practice.
**Always do what feels right in your body today. All the prompts and poses are invitations, suggestions for how to move your body. Be guided by how it feels and rest if there is discomfort.**
Be led by Sue as you focus on your breath, become more present and then warm up. Enjoy some energising flows with a modified salute to the sun. Then you are invited to move into Warrior 1 in the chair followed by the option to do it standing, with the chair as support or stay in the chair. Warrior poses are great for strengthening the limbs and core.
You can be guided through a modified 5 pointed star balance to improve balance and mental focus.
Refining poses to improve core strength and recovery from over balancing, include nose towards the knee, churning and wide legged forward fold. You’re invited to finish your practice with a back bend, a gentle twist then abdominal wall and pelvic floor exercises before a short well-earned relaxation.
