Iran Warns UAE Ports Hosting US Military Could Be Targeted After Abu Musa Strike

Iran has issued a warning to the United Arab Emirates after accusing the United States of launching missiles toward the Iranian island of Abu Musa from positions inside the Gulf state.
Speaking on behalf of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari said Tehran considers it a “legitimate right” to target locations from which American missiles were allegedly launched.
According to the statement, Iran claims U.S. forces used facilities and positions “under the cover of ports, docks and hideouts” in cities across the UAE.
Zolfaghari warned that Iran could strike the points of origin of the missile launches, including ports, docks and military locations hosting U.S. forces.
Iran also urged civilians in the UAE to evacuate areas near ports and facilities connected to the U.S. military to avoid harm if retaliation takes place.
The warning comes amid escalating tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel following weeks of military strikes across the region.
