Описание: Join us, as we wrap up our final week of dispersed remote camping in California’s breathtaking Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in our homebuilt teardrop camper.

In this episode, we head deep into the desert backcountry on a sandy 4x4 off-road drive to explore the ancient winter village site of the Kumeyaay people.

We also journey along Grapevine Canyon Road and Jasper Trail, discovering stunning desert vistas and rugged terrain.

Then, what starts as a simple 3-mile desert hike turns into nearly 7 miles of challenging off-trail adventure filled with rock scrambling, dry washes, and hidden boulder paths.

Throughout our adventurous week, we encounter an abundance of desert wildlife, including jackrabbits and a variety of desert birds such as the Phainopepla, red-tailed hawk, and the sharp-eyed loggerhead shrike.

But the beauty is marred by a sobering discovery—numerous mylar balloons tangled in cacti, a stark reminder of the impact of litter on wild spaces. We collect every piece we find and pack it out, staying true to Leave No Trace ethics.

Whether you’re into overlanding, boondocking, birdwatching, or just exploring lesser-known desert trails, this video captures the highs, lows, and raw beauty of primitive camping in the American Southwest.
