Let’s start the post-game with the legendaries of Unova.
Before you say it in the comments, yes, I know Volcarona isn’t a legendary. However I wanted to include it since it does have a special encounter and is heavily treated as such. You can get the line during the main story by receiving the Larvesta egg from a ranger at Route 18, but it doesn’t evolve until Level 59, so you wouldn’t be getting that Volcarona until post-game. If we can count Rotom as a semi-pseudo-legendary (since it has the legendary theme in DPPt despite not actually being a legendary,) then we can say the same for Volcarona. I did this out of order since I accidentally did this after the post-game Cheren rematch (which has been recorded prior to this) so my team will come up as underleveled in the next legendary videos.
As for Volcarona itself, it’s not as hard as the other legendaries because it’s not actually a legendary, thus it has a higher catch rate, but at such a high level, this thing can become a lethal sweeper once it uses Quiver Dance, even when paralyzed, making it a bigger challenge to catch. It even took out my Emboar with Heat Wave despite its resistances to Fire and Bug (although admittedly Emboar’s defenses without investments are pretty bad) which says a lot about its sweeping capabilities. Regardless, we caught this sun moth in the end and let it rest in the trophy room that is the legendary box in the PokéCenter.
I unfortunately won’t be able to catch Victini because I couldn’t get any Action Replay codes for the Liberty Pass to work, so I’m sadly not going to be able to cover it. The reason I uploaded the Volcarona video first is for it to serve as a replacement for the Victini video I can’t do.
