Assalamualaikum.
Welcome to another new video of the articulation point of the letters (makharij al huroof) series. This is the 10th video of the series learn makharij al huruf with Shaykh Ismail Al-Qadi.
Previously we talked about 4 major areas of the tongue (Deepest Part, Middle Part, Head of the tongue, Tip of the Tongue). And today in this video, I will talk about the fifth major part of the tongue, and it’s the “Sides of the Tongue”.
The Sides of the Tongue articulation point is used to produces the 23 number Arabic letter, Lam.
Lam (ل) is produced by touching the nearest part of the sides of the tongue and end with upper teeth of the opposite side.
