Another "X" Light For Orange Line Trolley In La Mesa (Spring St & La Mesa Blvd)

Описание: This video was filmed June 26, 2022 on a hot 85 degree day with the sun directly above me so I was cooking and getting hit hard with the UV rays.

This is yet another X light for trolleys that pass by going this direction. If you've been seeing my recent videos of these X lights and know what they mean, great, but I'm still gonna explain yet again what they mean.

You only see these near trolley stations and behind me was the La Mesa Blvd station. If a trolley was approaching this crossing and is in service, the X light would come on like in this video and telling the trolley driver the gates are still up to allow traffic more time to pass by, then when the trolley has come to a stop, the X light starts flashing and the gates go down. If an out of service trolley was going this direction or a freight train was coming or if a trolley were coming from the opposite direction, the X light would start flashing immediately and the gates would go down because the trains are not stopping. At some other crossings with newer crossing signals, the X light would actually stay off if a train was coming from the opposite direction.

RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNALS INFO:
All 18 flashing red crossing lights are LED
All 9 red flashing gate lights are LED
There is 1 electronic bell and 1 mechanical bell
