Описание: This is Part 5 of a 7-country cruise of the western Mediterranean on Oceania Mariana in October-November 2025. In this port call in Corfu, Greece, we boarded an excursion bus and drove across the island to Paleokastritsa. Seas were rough, but we set off immediately on a 45-minute Sea Cave tour anyway. Back on land, we were on our own time, so we enjoyed a solitary walk uphill to the Holy Monastery of the Virgin Mary. Bought mandarins and grapes from a local roadside vendor along the way. The Monastery was closed to visitors, but had a great viewing platform above the cliffs. Returned down to the bus, and continued up a tortuous narrow road to Lakones, where we were served an authentic Greek lunch. Enjoyed the best homemade baklava ever! Took videos at Bella Vista Viewpoint, then returned to our ship for an evening departure.
