Описание: In Part 3 of our 2025 Western Adventure series, we went backpacking up Silas Canyon in Wyoming's Wind River Mountain Range. Trying to acclimate to high elevations, for future hikes. It was late July, and wildflowers were at their peak! (As were mosquitoes...) Camped on the north-west side of Island Lake on night 1. Had a couple of other campers scattered around the lake, but still very quiet and tranquil. Day 2 started with an early morning hike further up the canyon to very scenic Thumb Lake. Saw no other hikers up there. Back to camp by 11am and mosquitos were hungry, so we decided to pack up and hike out, rather than stay another night.
