In this video Registered Osteopath and advanced Perrin Technique practitioner will show the rotation exercises and shoulder shrugs devised by Dr Raymond Perrin.
These exercises can be done 3 times per day, spaced out evenly in morning, afternoon and evening.
A) Rotation exercises A-loosely place fingers around the neck, slowly rotate each way 45 degrees for 5 times each way, focusing on the upper thoracics. Head, neck and shoulders should be in the same line.
B) Rotation exercises B- fold arms over shoulder, slowly rotate each way 45 degrees for 5 times each way, focusing on the mid thoracics. Head, neck and shoulders should be in the same line.
C) Rotation exercises B- fold arms around the waist, slowly rotate each way 45 degrees for 5 times each way, focusing on the lower thoracics.
Shoulder Shrugs
1. Forwards rolls - 5 forwards rolls - roll shoulders 5 x forwards
2. Backwards rolls - 5 backwards rolls - roll shoulders 5 x backwards
Ensure your shoulders are as relaxed as possible.
