If you're struggling with anxiety, this approach to stress relief through movement can guide you to a calmer state.

This Affirmotion session is for anyone stuck in mental loops - replaying conversations, rehearsing what you'll say, analyzing every decision until you're paralyzed. This movement-based practice teaches you the "Release and Descend" technique: a simple 3-part movement you can use anywhere, anytime to stop overthinking in its tracks.

This overthinking relief practice is for anyone who:

✓ Has been overthinking the same decision for days, weeks, or months
✓ Replays conversations endlessly in their mind
✓ Rehearses what they're going to say over and over
✓ Gets stuck in analysis paralysis and can't take action
✓ Lives in their head instead of their body
✓ Needs to get out of future planning and into the present moment

The truth: You can't THINK your way out of overthinking. You have to MOVE your way out. Your body already knows the answer - your brain is just too loud to hear it.

What you'll need: Just you, space to move, and permission to get out of your head and into your body. No dance experience required - this is about releasing overthinking, not performing choreography.

The science: Overthinking keeps you trapped in your prefrontal cortex, disconnected from your body and present moment awareness. Research on embodied cognition shows that physical movement helps shift you out of rumination and into embodied presence. Studies on somatic experiencing confirm that your body holds intuitive knowing that your analytical mind often drowns out. The "Release and Descend" movement pattern literally helps you move energy from your head (overthinking) down to your heart (knowing), engaging your parasympathetic nervous system to calm mental loops.
