Wetherspoon boss warns government 'hands of our pubs!'

Описание: The boss of JD Wetherspoon is leading calls for pubs to be spared from the Chancellor’s punishing Budget raid.

Business tycoon Tim Martin channelled Muhammad Ali when he said: “If Rachel Reeves even dreams about putting taxes up for locals, she’d better wake up and apologise.”

Mr Martin said: “I think pubs have been taxed up to the hilt and any more taxes are a bad idea.” Nearly 300 locals closed in 2024, with a loss of more than 4,500 jobs.
