Autumn is beautiful in Canada and with the changing of colours - comes the labour of collecting the falling leaves.
There is always the trepidation as we prepare for winter - the garden work, snow tires for the car - and not knowing what kind of a winter is in store is both scary and exciting.
We do not complain - but accept all this with grace - mindfully aware that we are one with nature - and we have chosen to live in Canada.
I use a novel way to collect leaves by using the lawn mover as a vacuum cleaner - which leaves remnants of the leaves as 'mulch' - food for the grass - a lesson I learned long time ago from inventor and innovator - Dr. Ray Wijewardene in Sri Lanka.
