Kanwar or Kanvad Yatra is an annual pilgrimage during the Hindu month of Shravan (July). Devotees of Shiva first fetch water of the Ganga from places of Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar.
